5th Digital Humanities monthly meetup: “Artificial Intelligence - Current Practices, Future Implications”

  • University of Canterbury Karl Popper Room 413 Christchurch (map)

For this meetup we will be bringing you some information and facilitating discussion about the hot topic of artificial intelligence (AI). What exactly is artificial intelligence? How is it being used today? And what should we be aware of in the future? Come join us in open discussion!

The first part of this event will be a short introduction to the current uses of AI. In order to have a more fundamental understanding of how AI actually works, we will try to illustrate the processes behind some of the most common AI algorithms through small games. In the second part we will open up the issue and discuss the future implications of AI development.

All welcome
