As digital technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) are increasingly permeating our everyday lives at the dawning ‘age of augmentation’ we can sometimes learn more about what makes us human. Digital assistants and chatbots show that empathy can be emulated, optimised, and delivered by algorithms – but how about ‘true’ creativity and artistic expression? This korero explores some of the more interesting, experimental, and thought provoking uses of AI and ML in the arts and cultural sectors - and how in many instances it is still the human spark that brings them to life.
2.15 - 2.30 – Wrap up and Highlights
2.45 - 3.15 – Library tour (Optional)
The forum will be held in the Tasman District Libraries (280 Queen Street, Richmond) in the Constance Barnicoat room.
