Exploring AI at Te Papa - Courtney Johnson and Adrian Kingston

How can we effectively yet thoughtfully introduce AI tools into our organisations? With such fast-paced technological development, is it possible to manage the opportunities AI offers while maintaining our core principles?

In this NDF Online Session, Courtney Johnston (Tumu Whakarae | Chief Executive) and Adrian Kingston (Head of Digital Channels) outline how they're approaching these questions and more at Museum of New Zealand Te Papa Tongarewa.

Courtney runs through Te Papa's journey introducing AI to the organisation, as well as the development of an AI policy and how it relates to core Te Papa values. Adrian described a few examples of how Te Papa has been using AI across the museum.

This webinar was recorded on Thursday 28 August, 2025.
