National Digital Forum (NDF) is committed to protecting your privacy and operates in accordance with the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020.

Information We Collect 

We collect personal information directly from you, including your:

  • Name and contact information (such as email address and phone number)

  • Location and sector/organization details

  • Billing, event registration, and purchase history

Why We Collect It 

We collect your personal information to:

  • Positively confirm your identity

  • Process ticket sales, memberships, and products

  • Provide requested information and deliver day-to-day business operations

  • Send relevant updates, professional development information, and event details

We may analyse the information you provide to produce aggregated, non-identifiable demographic, sector, and regional reports to better understand our community and improve our services.

Storage, Sharing, and Security 

Personal information is provided voluntarily. Choosing not to provide contact or sector details may limit our ability to send relevant information tailored to your professional development. If you choose to list your details in our public website directory, this remains strictly optional.

We keep your information safe by limiting access strictly to the NDF Coordinator and allocated board members. Some digital data may be securely processed or stored using reputable overseas third-party service providers (e.g., cloud platforms and payment processors) bound by comparable privacy standards.

We only share name and contact details with official conference conveners to promote and coordinate our annual event. We will not disclose personal information to any other third party unless required by law, or where we reasonably believe disclosure is necessary to prevent or lessen a serious threat to public health, public safety, or the life or health of an individual.

Events, Retention, and Your Rights 

By attending NDF Conferences or events, attendees consent to being photographed or recorded for promotional materials. If you do not wish to be photographed or filmed, simply notify the event photographer or an NDF staff member on-site, and your request will be respected. 

We retain personal information for five years, after which it is securely erased, unless you remain an active Member or Subscriber.

You have the right to request a copy of any personal information we hold about you, and to request corrections. To exercise these rights, contact us at admin@ndf.org.nz or update your information directly via your membership account at members.ndf.org.nz.
