NDF COLLABORATES WITH ARANZ FOR WORKSHOP DAY
We are very happy to announce that we are offering two workshops in collaboration with our friends at the Archives and Records Association of New Zealand (ARANZ).
ARANZ are celebrating their 50th year with a conference this November, right after NDF26. We’ve aligned ourselves so that the workshop day sits between the two conferences on Wednesday 25 November - creating another fantastic opportunity to connect and learn with colleagues from across the sector.
With that said, we’d like to announce the first joint NDF x ARANZ workshop:
WORKING TOGETHER: PRACTICAL DIGITAL PRESERVATION FOR GLAMMIR
A successful digital preservation programme combines many different activities, from technical processes like file migration to international collaborations on best practices. In GLAMMIR organisations struggling to balance diminishing resources with growing mountains of data, the scope of work can seem overwhelming.
This half-day workshop will provide an introduction to digital preservation and its practical implementation, centring the collaborative nature of digital preservation. Through taking a relationship-based perspective, the workshop will highlight the different partnerships that may exist to support different financial, technical, ethical, and strategic organisational goals.
Our presenters for this workshop are Martin Gengenbach (Digital Preservation Policy and Outreach Specialist) and Blanche Joslyn (Digital Preservation Analyst) from Archives Library New Zealand, who bring with them a wealth of digital preservation expertise.
More details coming soon - including timing, ticket information, and the announcement of the second ARANZ x NDF workshop.
ADDITIONAL NDF26 WORKSHOPS
In addition to the collaborative workshops with ARANZ, we will also be holding more NDF workshops on Wednesday 25 November.
To be announced!
