ORAL HISTORY AND SOUND ARCHIVES: WHY COLLECT THEM?

Oral history and sound archives are often treasured primary resources when discovered by researchers in a collection catalogue, although they can be expensive to create and complex to manage. In this session we will discuss the value of housing an oral history collection and some of the technical and content management requirements that enable these taonga collections to be safely stored and accessed.

Join the free webinar presented by Renée Orr (Curatorial Services Team Leader) and Sue Berman (Curator: Oral History and Sound) from Auckland Council Libraries. You'll get an overview of collection management practices required, as well as the practical tools and systems you need to get started.

If you can’t make it on the day, sign up anyway and we’ll send you the recording.
