What are the systems we use to care for our digital collections within museums and galleries? This session will go back to the basics of the intended design of our collections management systems (CMS), digital asset management systems (DAMS) and digital preservation systems (DPS). What is a TDR (Trusted Digital Repository) and how do we acquire one?
Join Kirsty Cox, Manager Digital & Collections Information Systems at Te Papa Tongarewa, as she discusses this through the lens of Te Papa’s digital preservation maturity journey.
This session would be suitable for anyone who wants to get a better understanding of systems or databases that manage digital collections. Technical understanding is not essential as these terms will be explained and demystified.
If you can’t make it on the day, sign up anyway and we’ll send you the recording.
