SPECIAL INTEREST GROUPS (SIGs)

Our Digital Capability Survey showed that GLAM communities need and want focused and collaborative knowledge sharing opportunities. Also highlighted was the disparity in digital literacy across the sector, and how leaders in specific areas could help to inform and support beginners, or those less experienced in specific projects.

NDF is committed to encouraging a collaborative learning environment to help bridge the gaps in knowledge identified in the survey. NDF Special Interest Groups (SIGs) are our response, inviting industry experts and interested kaimahi to lead informal and informed groups around selected interests.

Special Interest Groups exist for the purpose of:

  • Supporting and connecting NDF members (and friends) with common areas of interest and specialisation

  • Promoting professionalism

  • Provide opportunities for learning, skill growth, and leadership

NDF will support the SIGs through:

  • Providing an online membership platform (Mighty Networks)

  • Assisting with the promotion of the SIGs to our networks, including at NDF23 and ndf.org.nz

  • Providing reference frameworks and templates for SIG creation and operation
