RESPONDING TO ONLINE COLLECTION REQUESTS

As more and more of our collections are made accessible online, the way we respond to public engagement through these platforms has become increasingly important. How do different organisations handle these conversations, and what processes guide their decisions?

Join our webinar with Stacey Smith (Auckland Council Libraries), Harley Couper (Tauranga City Libraries), and Rowan Miller (Hamilton City Libraries) in a panel discussion. They’ll explore practical approaches to managing customer conversations - such as take-down and metadata requests - across various digital platforms.

You’ll get an understanding of how our three panelists navigate requests at their institutions, followed by a discussion. The panel will cover:

  • Who’s involved in reviewing and actioning requests

  • What happens when requests are approved

  • How institutions record and track changes over time

Co-created with Auckland Council Libraries, this practical session will be useful for anyone managing online collections or customer queries relating to collections.

If you can’t make it on the day, sign up anyway and we’ll send you the recording!
