NDF Launches Digital Capability Program

NDF (National Digital Forum) is thrilled to announce the launch of its Digital Capability Program, designed to enhance the digital skills and confidence of Aotearoa's cultural sector. This 12-month program empowers cultural organisations to embrace new methods of audience engagement, revenue generation, and transformative strategies for resilience in an ever-changing world.

Supported by research conducted in 2021 to assess the current state of digital capability in the cultural sector, the Digital Capability Program is designed to deliver tangible, long-term outcomes. This multi-tiered initiative consists of workshops and training, a digital mentor program for cultural leaders, and expanded scholarships to ensure equal access and address digital inequality. 

"The Digital Capability Program represents a crucial step towards realising our vision of a world-leading digital cultural community for Aotearoa and our region," said Teina Herzer, Executive Director of NDF. "Digital capability is not just a set of skills but an essential element for the sustainable future and relevance of our cultural organisations. With the support of Manatū Taonga and our members, we are investing over quarter of a million dollars into the Aotearoa cultural sector to enhance inclusivity, and embrace the opportunities offered by technology and digital ways of working."

The Digital Capability Program has been made possible through the support of Manatū Taonga's Cultural Sector Regeneration fund and the NDF members and community.
